Sonam Kapoor taped for an ad earlier today looking red hot in a fitted gown. For the toothpaste brand commercial,
she wore a custom made column gown by Nachiket Barve, that had a
textured bodice and long sleeves with shoulder cut outs. Gold earrings, a red lip and a soft updo provided the finishing touches. We approve! You?
Sonam Kapoor attended NDTV's Youth for Change seminar today wearing a Hannan look.
Her ensemble included an oversized cropped sweatshirt that she wore over a white shirt paired with a pleat detail black skirt. A pair of Ferragamo heels, flawless make up and a high ponytail rounded her look out.
I do like the idea of the look, but I think it would have worked better for an editorial.
Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor are already welcoming the fall with opens arms (read lips).
Recently, the two divas ditched the candy nudes and pinks for dark pouts for their respective outfits.
While Deepika used a dark berry to finish off her polka dot and
stripes ensemble, Sonam played dress up in a lace dress and crop top
combo and edged it up even more with an ox-blood lip colour.
The million dollar questions remains the same – who did the dark lip better?
Sonam Kapoor is flying high after winning the best actress award
at the Indian Film Festival Melbourne (IFFM), for her effortless
portrayal of a fearless air hostess, in Neerja.
The movie, which was a biopic on Neerja Bhanot released earlier this
year, and has been gaining Sonam accolades and fans alike for her
performance. In her thanksgiving speech, the actress shared her strong
views on gender issues and woman empowerment. Now, Sonam has also been
invited for a special lunch with the Governor of Victoria in Australia,
Linda Dessau, at the government house. Linda also happens to be the
first woman to hold this office.
The actress had flown to Australia recently, especially for IFFM, an
annual awards gala that celebrates Indian cinema and honours performers.
Neerja happened to be screened at the massive gathering, where Sonam
was called as a special guest. As the guest of honour, Sonam also judged
a dance competition at the festival.
Neerja’ actress says the responsibility of making her
own decisions is the reason for “every misstep and every triumph” in
her journey in the world of showbiz Bollywood
actress Sonam Kapoor says her father and actor Anil Kapoor had cut her
off when she turned 18, compelling her to make decisions in her personal
as well professional lives.
“He said ‘you want to become an
adult, become an adult’. I had to take responsibility and I did... and
it is one of the best things anybody has ever done for me,” Kapoor said.
“He said that ‘I never want to make a decision for you. I can tell you
what is right or what is wrong but at the end you have to make your own
decision’.”
And so, she said, “every misstep and every triumph” in her journey in the world of showbiz has been her own.
The actress, who has had her share of setbacks in the industry — be it with Saawariya or Mausam — also shared that she loves her father for taking this firm decision.
Kapoor, who earned praise for films such as Raanjhanaa and Neerja, told actress Tara Sharma in The Tara Sharma Show what it is like being a star kid. (The episode will air on Star World and Star World HD on Sunday.)
The Khoobsurat also says that even though she aspired to be like her father, initially she did not really want to become an actor.
She also mentions how she would like to start a family some day, but isn’t looking to settle down any time soon.
Yesterday, two of our tinsel town divas chucked their chauffeur-driven cars and opted to travel by rickshaws instead.
Sonam
Kapoor took a quick rickshaw ride near her Juhu house itself. The
actress was amazed that the fare was only Rs 18 and exclaimed that it
was ‘cheaper than an Uber’.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline jokingly fled
from her Dishoom promotions and took away by herself in a rickshaw. The
actress shared a video asking her followers to guess where she was
headed. Sadly, she never revealed where she ran off to. Feel like
telling us now, Jacqueline?
